hearing voices

my never ending quest to please the tech poet's delicate musical sensibilities trudges slowly forward. so far he has introduced me to spoon and the pains of being pure at heart, and everything that i try to offer in return he deems as crap (this is why i broke his rib). last month i tried to get him to listen to the gaslight anthem, but that was a no go. here is my latest attempt - the best song i've heard this month; Quiet Little Voices by We Were Promised Jetpacks:

I typically don't comment on your blog. I don't want to give the impression that your blog is a successful one, it wouldn't be hilarious if people actually commented on pieces of work like "ahhh (yea this is gonna be lame)". Oh wait, I see one comment, but I won't dignify it's existence.

Anyways. My non-interest for the song would best be explained graphically but no time for that. It's just not complex enough - power chords are not that cool, specially when you use 3 of them for the entire song. The lyrics don't invoke any thought and are repetitive. The video is just dudes playing a song and some distortion effects readily available on a Mac. In short - some bands in high school progress further than these low-talented ass clowns.

In another post you mentioned how great the Eagles are. Need I say more?

Thanks for thinking about me but a plumber doesn't impress me by showing me how good of a gardener he is, stick to what you know - stick to impressing me by being a snake oil salesman and a fine lawyerstein.

BTW - I didn't go through the trouble of entering a "same sex domestic partnership" with my brother to work out at the Stanford gym for no reason. Watch your ribs, biatch.

Oh and your new theme is a pathetic attempt to paint a turd. You'll never cover the smell is the problem.

Dear Mr. The Poet, thank you so much for the feedback. Comments from fans like you are the reason why I continue writing! Also, I'm glad you have thoroughly examined the blog for comments posted by other mega fans!

I'm sorry if the song I chose is not complex enough - unfortunately I am tone deaf; a condition which you may be aware of as i have mentioned it before during one of our tender embraces. For you to make fun of someone with a disability really speaks to your character (or lack there of). Do you approach double amputees and tell them that their attempts to walk "aren't complex enough"? I certainly hope not...

My aim is not to impress you sir, if it were i would post videos of teenage boys with skinny jeans singing, staring at their shoes while some un-bathed fella with a beard manipulates a synthesizer; my only aim was to share music with a friend.

However, I'm glad you enjoyed my post about the eagles, there may be hope for you yet! thanks again for being a loyal fan!

I am glad that the "same sex domestic partnership" is working out well for you. If California repeals proposition 8, I'm sure the next step will be for the state to legalize sibling marriage - you'll be able to express your love for one another out in the open! I am also glad that you are working out at the Stanford gym. It's good that you finally found a place where you can "accidentally" brush up against sweaty men in short shorts as this activity is frowned upon in the great state of Texas.

Thanks again,

minimalist hobo

P.S. the AWESOME redesign of your blog was the inspiration for "painting my turd." Your redesign is sure to place your site at the pinnacle of blogging excellence.
